I am a huge lover of salads, especially if they are super healthy. How can be a salad unhealthy you ask? Trust me! I grew up in Russia and what Russians put in their salads can cause a heart attack at the age of 30. :) I always plan to try something new, something more exotic but always end up with "lazy" tomato-cucumber salad. When I discovered this recipe on the internet I immediately ran to the market to buy all the ingredients. I've made some little changes to the original recipe to make it even more amazing. Enjoy!

Perfect for cozy spring weather. I think the yellow/black combination looks always so sophisticated and fabulous. This DIY project is easy to make and costs not much. You will need basic wool gloves (H&M) and some vintage beads.

Today's post is dedicated to the enviroment and things that make our world a little bit better. Did you know that an average person throws away about (30 kg) 68 lbs of clothing per year. That is a lot! Clothing and other textiles represent about 4% of the municipal solid waste stream. From their production, to the materials that make them, all the way to transportation and washing, clothes can make quite a damage to the environment. So how can you reduce your environmental impact? What do you do with your old clothes? You can donate them of course or recycle. Or upcycle by re-designing your old clothes. Besides positive effect on the environment upcycling is easy on your purse and makes a lot of fun. There's a little Designer-Philanthropist in each of us...

[Collaboration] Styling for Icono creative award

Styling for Icono creative award 2013

The special thing about this collaboration was that I had to create a styling suitable to the hair style.  For a contribution to a Hair Stylist competition I've designed this leather creation. The competition was all about the world of Vidal Sassoon, who achieved great success in the 60s. The hairstylings were very 60's inspired so I spent days watching all "Mad men" episodes.  The result: "Mad men" meets "Easy rider". Btw the girls who created this hairstyle won the 3rd place.
