[Gourmet] Puff pastry rose cupcake

Puff pastry rose cupcake with apple or pear

For my next dinner party I was looking for a simple light dessert that could charm my guests. This dessert looks good, tastes good and doesn't take much time. Because of the small serving size the puff pastry doesn't crumble much. This little dessert is perfect for tea parties, cocktail reception and picnics.


Ingredients for 9 cupcakes:
  • 1 apple
  • 1 pear
  • 3 sheets of puff pasty
  • 1 tea cup of brown sugar
  • 9 cake cases
  • powdered sugar


Slice the apples in very thin slices, about 3mm (1/8 inch)

Same with pears
Add 4 cups of water to a saucepan and 1 cup of brown sugar

After the sugar water starts to boil, place the apple slices in and boil for 3-4 minutes

Place the (cooled down) slices on the 2 cm (1 inch) wide puff pastry stripes

Roll tightly

Put the roses into the cake cases and bake by 180 °C (425 °F) for 20-25 min
